Track and segment with Turis and Klaviyo
The best brands are the best for a reason. They are able to strategically leverage insights and data to optimize their business performance.
One of the areas they do this on is communication and in relation to sales/marketing this often means email. However, these brands don’t just mass-send emails to a long list of contacts.
To make sure that their communication and message has the biggest impact, they make sure that the recipient is not only relevant for the communication, but the content itself should also be highly relevant.
Track customer interactions in Turis and send them to Klaviyo
With our new script for Klaviyo we are enabling you to track customer behavior and send incredibly detailed events to Klaviyo that allow you to segment on a whole new level.
Go beyond static email segments
If you are like most users of any emailing platform you’re likely to have a static or too generic segments. As a result, your messaging becomes irrelevant and eventually drown as noise in inboxes that have no need for the (probably useful) information you are sharing.
Dynamic segments ensures relevance and results
Being able to segment users based on dynamic criteria (such as product views, product purchases or even combinations) enables you to highly target your communication to the users where it’ll have the highest impact – meaning clicks and sales.
How it works
Find the template: Log in to your Turis account and go to Tools->Script Manager and click the tab “Templates”.
Get your Klaviyo Public Key: Klaviyo has a public key that as the name suggest can be publicly shared with services such as Turis with no security risks.
Turis is now streaming data to Klaviyo: We will track and share user behavior with Klaviyo on:
- Page loads
- Product views
- Product add to cart
- Unit increase/decrease
- Checkout started
- Checkout completed
Dynamic Segments in Klaviyo
Klaviyo allows you to create Dynamic Segments by defining a range of criteria that the segment is constantly being updated on.
Examples could be:
- Users that has clicked but not purchased a product
- Users that has purchased a specific product, but has never purchased another
- Users that start a checkout but doesn’t finish it
- Users that has made purchases of more than some amount
By enabling the script in Turis we will send data to Klaviyo that can be used as criteria for these segments.
Once a segment has been set up with one or more criteria it will be updated every time that a new user meets the requirements or an existing segment user no longer meets them and is thereby removed from the segment.
You can get really creative
Due to the amount of information and data Turis captures and sends to Klaviyo you can get really creative with how you define your different segments. The way and the level of detail in how you define your segments will greatly effect your email performance.
The good news is that creating these segments in Klaviyo is super easy with the way the data from Turis becomes available from the dropdowns in Klaviyo’s segment builder.
